Join the LCOC

Founded in 1953, the LCOC is now an international organization of 5,000 members. The Club is dedicated to restoring, preserving and enjoying the legendary and famous Lincolns and Continentals. We recognize Lincolns and Continentals of all years, but they must be at least 10 years old to be eligible to compete for trophies at the National Meet Concours. Lincolns and Continentals provide a common interest, but ownership is not a requirement for membership in the Lincoln and Continental Owners Club.

The LCOC is an international organization which acts as the umbrella entity for 21 local regions of the club. There are activities at both the national and regional level, varying from region to region. By locating LCOC members in your home city or state, they can provide you with additional information about the activities of the LCOC Region in your locale.

The NEW National dues are $36/yr and dues for membership in a region vary, but are $20 to $40/yr. In order to defray the additional postage expense, membership for residents of countries other than the U. S., Canada, and Mexico, is $54.00 per year/US funds. One may join the LCOC without belonging to a region, but not vice-versa. You may join the LCOC by sending the membership fee, and the following information to the address listed below. Please include: full name, address, and telephone numbers, and the year, model and VIN of your Lincoln(s). Members outside the USA should send payment by international money order.

  1. Generally, within 3 weeks after the Membership Office receives your application, you will receive your LCOC membership card. Membership cards to new members are mailed at the middle and at the end of each month.
  2. "Continental Comments" is mailed about the first of February, April, June, August, October, December. New members begin receiving the Clubs award winning publication "Continental Comments" approx. a month and half after joining. "Continental Comments" is published 6 times per year and includes many interesting articles covering the entire spectrum of Lincolns and Continentals from 1921 to the present. These articles deal not only with the cars, but their owners, past and present, and include historical background about why Lincoln produced the cars that it did. "Continental Comments" provides advanced notice of the three national LCOC meets every year. "Continental Comments" has a classified section available for members to advertise cars, parts and services. Many parts and restoration dealers advertise in this section.
  3. The LCOC Membership Directory contains the names and addresses of all members, and the Lincolns and Continentals they own. The names of the Members are also sorted by state. The Lincolns and Continentals are sorted by year for easy reference to other owners with similar cars. The Club By-laws and Judging Standards are also included in the Directory for reference. The names and addresses of the Technical Advisors are listed along with their specialties. Membership Directories are mailed in April. The information is current as of March 1st each year. In July, a supplemental mailing is sent to new members who have joined the LCOC during the April - June period. Copies for other new members and extra copies are available for $5.00 each from LCOC National Project Sales, c/o Nubs Schactner, 246 East Dayton Street, Galesburg, IL 61401.
  4. Other benefits of membership:
    • Join your local region, which has many events in your local area during the year. The regions are listed on the web site.
    • Register and attend National Meets, which are typically 4-5 days and include local sightseeing and culminate in a concourse on Saturday followed by an award banquet.
    • As a member, you can enter your Lincoln in concourse judging, if it is at least 10 years old. There are two different types of classes that new members can enter their car depending upon the member's preference.

Notes:

"Continental Comments" and Directories are mailed Second Class postage and US delivery takes 10 days to 2 weeks. Delivery of periodicals is much more reliable when they are mailed with First Class postage. First Class postage is available for "Continental Comments" @ $12.00 per year.

It is the responsibility of each member to notify the membership office of any change of address, telephone, or identification or cars.
